Results vary from person to person and are temporary. Younger patients often have better results as skin has not had aged significantly, but older patients can also gain improvements in their appearance.  Botulinum toxin is taken up differently by everybody, but fine lines can be expected to disappear, with new lines being prevented.  Moderate to severe lines can expect to be reduced and may even disappear, but will definitely be softer, with a fresher appearance. At consultation, your expectations and expected results will be discussed in detail with you.

Treatment takes up to 14-21 days to take full effect and can last up to 3-4 months on average, although everyone is different and results can last sooner or longer than this, dependent on a patients metabolism rates. Repeat treatments are recommended a minimum of 12 weeks apart to maintain results, and if not treated the appearance of the skin will just return to how it was prior to treatment.
